Welcome to Taumata Maruapo (Resting Place of Dreams).

A large 1990’s build family holiday home that holds a special place in the hearts of those who stay from a night to a week. A peaceful sanctuary nestled in amongst 50 hectares of sub-alpine beech forest. A two-storey wooden home with a covered wrap-around verandah on three sides.

The property is forest-clad, surrounded by sub-alpine native beech forest, with wonderful bird life and adjacent to Nelson Lakes National Park (and Lake Rotoiti) and significant conservation and recreation areas. A private and easily accessible creek (via two walking tracks) is located just 50m from the house for quiet reflection or a VERY crisp dip (for those brave enough!!).

Located 7km from St Arnaud Village (and Lake Rotoiti – Kerr Bay), 50 minutes to Nelson, one hour to Blenheim, 25 minutes to Rainbow Valley Skifield.

Special conditions: 

No Pets.  Non-smoking property. No smoking in property or on grounds.  No parties or gatherings.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels).  Where a BBQ is listed as available you must bring your own gas cylinder.
